Hello! My name is Sydney. I am from the US and I am a Beginner Filipino language student.
I am studying the Filipino language because I want to be able to communicate with my family (I am half Filipino). I hope to be able to speak a good amount once I visit for July!

@Sydney002 Well that’s exciting! Do you have plans in place already? You staying in Manila or travelling around a bit?

It is! I think we're going to be in Manila for the first day and then go over Negros Occidental ( where my family lives).

@Sydney002 Nice! Well, you should be able to pick up quite a bit of Tagalog between now and then, and I've found people are always happy to help learn once you're there, too.

Well, that's reassuring! I've always been a bit scared but I'm slowly building up some confidence, and I'm just excited to see my family!
